ABOUT ME
Edwin Sneddon has enjoyed a fulfilling career in the fitness industry spanning over four decades. What truly sets his work apart is not just longevity, but how those years have been spent—on the studio floor, teaching class after class, day in, day out, refining his craft through real people and real results. For hours each day, Edwin has worked hands-on with clients of all ages and abilities, constantly observing what works, what doesn’t, and why. This grass-roots experience has shaped a teaching style grounded not in theory alone, but in lived, proven practice.
He was chosen by Michael King, one of the world’s leading Pilates experts, to take over his role in Switzerland—where Edwin’s own Pilates journey began almost 30 years ago. He was also selected by Reebok Europe to present fitness workshops across the continent, sharing his expertise with instructors and audiences internationally. Yet even at this level, it was always the class environment—the connection, the feedback, the subtle shifts in people’s bodies and confidence—that continued to inform and evolve his approach.
Before his fitness career fully evolved, Edwin trained and worked as a professional dancer, performing across the world. During this time, he achieved multiple prestigious titles, including national championships in two different dance genres. His training spanned Classical, Irish, Contemporary, and Jazz—laying the foundation for the movement quality, musicality, and precision that define his teaching today. That dancer’s eye, combined with decades of teaching, allows him to see not just movement—but how to improve it, safely and effectively, for every individual in front of him.
In 2022, Edwin’s partner Michael suffered a significant traumatic brain injury. Edwin remained by his side throughout a three-year recovery, often spending up to ten hours a day supporting his care. His dedication, compassion, and attention to detail played a vital role in Michael’s recovery, which surpassed even expert expectations. Throughout this period, teaching became Edwin’s lifeline—his breath, his focus, and his light at the end of the tunnel. Even in the hardest moments, being in the studio, working with clients, observing progress, and helping others move forward reinforced everything he believed about resilience and the power of consistent, intelligent training.
Following this chapter, Edwin rebranded and restructured his business into Evolve Fitness. Through adversity, he gained greater clarity, vision, and—above all—a renewed sense of purpose. Today, his work is driven not only by decades of experience, but by resilience, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others look great, feel strong, and—most importantly—achieve results that last in real life.
